At Liberty Common School, a knowledge-based education is the key to accelerated learning.

With two elementary-school campuses in Fort Collins, the Plato Campus and the Aristotle Campus, Liberty Common School accelerates learning for students in grades K-6.

Our success stems from our fidelity to the Core Knowledge Sequence© curriculum. This curriculum encompasses a wide range of subjects, including language arts, mathematics, science, history, geography, fine arts, and physical education. By following this comprehensive curriculum, we ensure students receive a comprehensive education that empowers them for lives of liberty.

Liberty is what I thought school would be like. My kids are seen, safe, and being educated with a fact-based, transparent curriculum. I love that I feel welcomed and encouraged to be a part of their education. Their education is our responsibility as parents, and after our experience, I am more than happy trusting Liberty Common with their education. It's one of the best decisions we've ever made. jen giltnerLiberty Parent

The Universal Truth of Education

Liberty Common School honors “The Universal Truth:" It is the right and responsibility of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their children.  This responsibility begins when families choose the school, its educational philosophy, and its corresponding academic strategies.  Parents lead in ensuring fidelity to the school’s tradition and philosophy by staying informed, volunteering, and reinforcing aligned educational goals at home.

Character Education

Academics at LCS encompasses more than its Core Knowledge curriculum.  Liberty’s Foundation Stones – Respect, Responsibility, Cooperation, Self-Control, Perseverance, Integrity, and Citizenship – define the school’s culture and its expected behavior for all students.  Character is developed through a coherent program of expectations, modeling, and study of historical and literary figures.

These Foundation Stones are reinforced daily including at monthly character-education assemblies.
