Recently, LCS fourth graders and parent-volunteers had a wonderful day learning about cardiopulmonary anatomy. Students dissected hearts and lungs under the careful guidance of instructors
Mr. Steve Ronen, Miss Elizabeth Manthei, and
Mr. Jeff Siener. The lab work and hands-on experience reinforced prior classroom lectures, and broadened knowledge in quire profound ways. These activities deepen retention of key lessons. Pictured nearby is
Lidia Goodrich displaying a lab specimen. It is upon experiences such as these that future Liberty instructors will stack successive, sequenced units of more complex knowledge as students move toward obtaining an LCHS diploma – the state’s most prestigious certification of college readiness, and the clearest ticket to post-secondary success.
