Liberty Common School consists of three academic campuses in Fort Collins, Colorado. Two elementary school campuses serve grades K–6 and one combined junior-high and high-school campus serves grades 7–12.
What is a charter-school lottery?
Liberty Common School utilizes a randomized selection process known as a lottery to select students for enrollment. This approach eliminates biases and ensures each applicant, regardless of their background or academic abilities, has an equal chance of securing a seat.
Throughout the year, families can enter their students in the lottery pool using our online form, and from there, a blind draw is conducted to randomly select students for enrollment.
Lottery draws for kindergarten typically begin in November. Draws for remaining grades begin in January and run through the start of the subsequent school year. If your student is drawn in the lottery, one of our registrars will contact you to offer your student enrollment at Liberty Common School. In order to secure a spot for your student, you must respond by the communicated deadline.
