Performing Arts
As Liberty students encounter the fine arts through the core curriculum, they also discover opportunities to develop their unique skills and talents through a variety of additional fine-arts programs.
Through these programs, Liberty Common School’s fine-arts offerings aim to nurture creativity, foster collaboration, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.

Music Philosophy
Music is an inherently valuable way to express the good, true and beautiful. It is integral in the development of the whole person, and a vital component for the advancement of civilization. Our goal is to listen to, create, and interpret music in a way that develops a lifelong appreciation.
As the Core Knowledge Foundation states: "Through attaining a basic knowledge of the arts, children are not only better prepared to understand and appreciate works of art, but also to communicate their ideas, feelings, and judgments to others. A good understanding of the arts grows out of at least three modes of knowledge: Creative, historical, and analytical, with an emphasis on active participation." At Liberty Common school, we promote the understanding and making of music by all.
