Security Update and Introduction of the Libertas Society
Mark Dollar, Board of Directors
Dear Liberty Common School Community:  We, the Members of the Board of Directors, appreciate each inquiry received and offers of assistance regarding the security of our school.  Several engaged parents have made valuable comments and suggestions which have been considered during our monthly security-team meetings.

The school applied changes thanks to this feedback.  The most significant action we are currently pursuing is hiring a dedicated security director to oversee the day-to-day safety of our campuses.

The administration and BOD have adjusted budgets to sustain this position well into the future.  Next, the administrative staff will bring this individual on board. The BOD will notify the LCS community once this action is complete and provide additional details related to the Director of Security’s role.

We always could use more security volunteers, too.  If interested in being on a call list, please email Security Team Coordinator Mr. Jay Montez

Society of Giving:  The BOD is immeasurably grateful to each of you who continue to support our school with donations from your own personal finances.  The many “extra” things we enjoy at Liberty are made possible by these contributions.  They definitely add up and make a substantial difference.  We are in awe each year of the generosity of the LCS family.

We continuously look for opportunities to recognize this uncommon level of giving.  In response, LCS has established and is now introducing the Libertas Society.  The society is intended to recognize Liberty Common School’s most financially committed supporters.

Please join us with a $1,000+ donation to Liberty Common School and become a founding member of the Libertas Society

Election Season:  The BOD reminds each interested parent/grandparent of our upcoming BOD election planned for this spring.  If a parent/grandparent has interest in serving on our seven-member board, we urge you to familiarize yourself with the requirements to pursue a position – please CLICK HERE

One candidate requirement is prior attendance at a BOD meeting and current volunteer status at the school.  With limited BOD meetings it is important to meet this requirement prior to the spring election.  The BOD meets the last Thursday of every month.  We hope to see you there.
