Open Seats, Open Doors

Open Seats, Open Doors

This year looks a little different at Liberty. We have open seats in some classrooms, something that hasn’t been common in the past.

Demographics in Northern Colorado are shifting, and there are simply fewer children per household.  The result?  While Liberty still utilizes a lottery and has waitlists in many grades, some seats aren’t getting filled when names are drawn.  As a result, there are a few openings, including in some lower grades, that could be filled as soon as this semester. The school is also currently drawing names to fill available spots for the next school year beginning in August.  These local trends mirror broader enrollment patterns across the region, which Poudre School District Superintendent Brian Kingsley has recently discussed in district communications.

As parents, we’re in a great position to help.  If you know friends, family, or coworkers who are looking for a strong, values-driven school (or who might not realize Liberty is an option) please consider sharing your experience with them and encouraging them to apply.  Personal recommendations matter far more than flyers or internet searches.

Full classrooms benefit everyone at Liberty.  A full school helps Liberty continue to attract and retain top teaching talent and provide strong programs and services for students.  Thank you for helping grow and support the Liberty community.
