Allen Named Elementary Principal
Liberty Common School
Liberty Common School Headmaster Bob Schaffer, today, announced the promotion of Ms. Jenna Allen to the position of elementary principal at the school’s Plato campus from her current position as assistant principal.  The promotion will become effective Wed 1 Jul 2026.

Ms. Allen will succeed Mrs. Sandy Stoltzfus who has been named LCS Deputy Headmaster.  Allen will assume duties as campus leader for the school’s k–6 program in tandem with Aristotle-campus principal Mr. Casey Churchill.  Responsibilities include ensuring fidelity to the Core Knowledge© Sequence, instructional mastery and consistency, a virtue-infused school culture, staff management, building operations, budgeting, and special-education support.

Allen first joined the LCS staff in 2008 as a Teacher Assistant shortly after enrolling her children, Mady (LCHS ‘18) and Aidan (LCHS ‘16, LEGIO XIII) as elementary students.  She assumed duties as a professional-classroom instructor for the 2nd-grade in 2010, then the 6th-grade in 2019.

Since becoming LCS Assistant Principal in 2022, Ms. Allen has provided outstanding schoolwide leadership.  A master teacher herself, she is intimately familiar with the rigorous demands placed upon LCS instructors to pursue uncommon expertise in teaching and learning.  Among her key contributions over the last four years, Allen has elevated the school’s instructional-coaching program enabling LCS’s newest teachers and their students to thrive under her guidance.

Mrs. Stoltzfus commented, “Ms. Allen is perfectly suited and well-prepared to lead our elementary program at the Plato campus.  Under her leadership, and alongside Mr. Churchill, our k–12 program will continue to guide students to mature literacy and virtuous lives through fidelity to the Core Knowledge™ curriculum and commitment to a classically-oriented instruction rooted in goodness, truth, beauty, and perfection.”

In anticipation of her new role, Ms. Allen said, “As principal, I look forward to carrying forward the beautiful culture that has been established and humbly serving our families and staff to the best of my ability.  I delight each day in the truly incredible humans I get to work with - I love Liberty Common School!”

Schaffer said Ms. Allen is fully prepared to take the helm at the Plato campus.  “A passionate lifelong learner, Ms. Allen's intellectual and managerial journey equips her perfectly for administrative leadership,” he said.  “I’ve known her for a long time, and know our students are enormously fortunate to have such a virtuous, competent, and energetic leader as their principal.  Her love for our students and their teachers is something beautiful to see in action.”
