A Peg In A Sure Spot

A Peg In A Sure Spot
Bob Schaffer, Headmaster
Liberty Common School students, faculty, and support staff have now one full week operating courageously under a new annualized motto UNA SURGEMUS – “Together We Will Rise.”  It’s a cogent statement of truth, beauty, goodness, and perfection.

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of the origin of these things.  In keeping with school tradition, LCHS seniors chose this year’s motto.  Their aim is to foster a unifying sense of family.

school motto 2024School Captains Grace Folkers and Will Notarfrancesco averred, “In all of our endeavors, the Class of 2024 has been sure to strengthen each person's character, and to follow the capstones through our exceptional leadership and supportive community.”  The pair emphasized, “We hope our class will be able to take this motto beyond high school, and continue to push one another to achieve our best in the next stages of our lives.”

Lambent mottos inspire when applied elegantly to those capable of breathing life into hopeful words.  Tightly aligned, they become fixed like a peg in a sure spot, to be a place of honor for a blessed family.
“We hope to leave a legacy for the next twenty-five years,” declared our Captains. “As such, we hope to show the students who will come to graduate after us that creating a family at school will allow students to encourage each other to rise far beyond what they ever imagined they could.”
