Class of '21: Brad Walter

After graduating from LCHS in 2021, Brad started college at Front Range Community College. Due to the post-pandemic structure many schools adopted, it made the most sense for him to switch to online classes. This allowed him to work full time while continuing his education. He began his career at Campus Properties 4 Lease, owned by the Bachelets—another Liberty family—who provided him with a strong foundation for his professional journey.

During this time, Brad attended college classes year-round, enabling him to complete a bachelor's degree in accounting from Capella University in approximately two years. After graduating, he transitioned into the commercial insurance industry. He has found the work especially rewarding because it allows him to connect with and support business owners across a wide range of industries and at various stages of their businesses.

In June of this year, Brad joined Brown & Brown, the insurance brokerage that serves Liberty Common's policies. As a Fortune 500 company and one of the top five insurance brokerages in the nation, Brown & Brown has provided him with the opportunity to learn from an outstanding team. As a Liberty alumnus, he was assigned to the Liberty account as the account executive, allowing him to work directly with the school.

Looking back on his journey so far, Brad credits Liberty with preparing him for success by equipping him with the skills to learn effectively, manage his time, and maintain the discipline needed to work efficiently. Although attending and graduating from Liberty was no easy task, he believes it was well worth the effort and remains deeply grateful for the experience.
