Veterans Day at Red FeatherTwo of Liberty’s top student leaders traveled to the far reaches of Larimer County on Monday to participate in a Veterans Day lunchtime event near Red Feather Lakes. Director of Community Outreach Paige Moore, and School Captain Gordy Brooks joined about 60 veterans who, along with some additional family members, gathered at the remote Beaver Meadows Lodge. It was the 17th such gathering in as many years. The pair, both seniors in the mighty LCHS Class of 2020, represented our school in extending first-hand thanks for services rendered in the profession of arms.

The patriotic lunch was capped off with keynote remarks by Liberty’s Headmaster Bob Schaffer who thanked warriors, spouses, and family members on behalf of everyone associated with Liberty Common School. “You have devoted your lives, fortunes, and sacred honor in the defense of Americans’ self-evident, God-given unalienable rights,” he said.
