  1. For each system listed below, name all the organs, the function of each organ, the purpose of the system, and the specialized cells in the system and their functions.
    1. Nervous
    2. Skeletal
    3. Muscular/Integumentary
    4. Digestive
    5. Respiratory
    6. Circulatory
    7. Excretory
    8. Endocrine
    9. Immune
  1. Work with a group of students to prepare a presentation for a particular system that gives the above information. (See Human Systems Presentation Rubric for specific requirements.)

STATE STANDARDS

Standard 1 Students understand the processes of scientific investigation and design, conduct, communicate about, and evaluate such investigations.

Standard 3.3 Students know and understand how the human body functions, factors that influence its structures and functions, and how these structures and functions compare with those of other organisms.
